The National Gallery hosted the Video Game Exhibit here in DC, where the history of video games from good ol' Atari to XBOX Kinect were on display. Although a small exhibit, it was nevertheless filled with memories, fun, and COLOR. For a person who loves vibrant colors, it was stimulus heaven.
What was really weird/interesting/creepy was that the DMV part had little cameras hidden in it, as well as a little screen that displayed the image from that camera. Take a step back, wave, and see yourself through the lens. The plaque said that the artist added the cameras to commemorate the fact that DC is the hub of hidden cameras and surveilance. In any case, it was a pretty effective peice.
And if you're going to be in the area, you have to stop off at what Washington Post calls "simple, elegant, and too scrumptious for words," Red Velvet Cupcakery (PS it's right next door to TangySweet if you, like me, have a love (or obsession whatever) for frozen yogurt).
